Beirut: The Ministry of Information issued a warning statement urging all citizens, particularly influencers, artists, and media professionals, to completely avoid any form of direct or indirect communication with spokespersons of the Israeli army or its affiliated media outlets, regardless of the pretext or justification.
According to National news agency - Lebanon, the ministry emphasized that such interactions are a clear violation of Lebanese laws, especially those pertaining to the boycott of the Israeli enemy, thereby subjecting individuals to legal accountability under the applicable laws. The ministry further cautioned against the dissemination of fake news and anonymous voice messages circulating on social media, which aim to create confusion and incitement among the Lebanese populace.
The statement urged citizens to verify news sources and to refrain from sharing any suspicious or unreliable content. It concluded by calling on everyone to "exercise national awareness and responsibility in dealing with digital content, to preserve Lebanese sovereignty and safeguard supreme national interest."
