Iran Declares New ‘Prohibited Zone’ Near Hormuz Covering Parts of Gulf of Oman

Beirut: Iran's Guards announced on Wednesday the establishment of a new "prohibited zone" extending beyond the Strait of Hormuz, encompassing sections of the Gulf of Oman and beyond. The precise coordinates of this zone will be disclosed at a later date.

According to National news agency - Lebanon, Guards spokesman Hossein Mohebi stated on state television that the zone approximately begins from the direction of Chabahar, covering parts of the Sea of Oman and the Arabian Sea. Mohebi emphasized that vessels entering this area without prior coordination would face sanctions from Iran.
