Ain el-Tineh: House Speaker, Nabih Berri, met with Deputy Speaker, Elias Bou Saab, to discuss significant political and legislative developments affecting Lebanon. The discussions primarily focused on Israel’s ongoing occupation of southern Lebanese territories.
According to National News Agency – Lebanon, Bou Saab highlighted the resilience of the southern Lebanese population, asserting their right to reclaim their land from Israeli control. He stated that the Lebanese people would eventually overcome Israeli aggression.
Bou Saab also addressed internal challenges, condemning recent provocative actions like motorcycle rallies in Lebanon, which he believes serve Israeli interests and threaten national unity. He stressed the importance of maintaining internal cohesion during this time.
Additionally, Bou Saab brought attention to the urgent need for government formation and the passage of essential reform laws. He emphasized that these steps are crucial for Lebanon’s stability and economic recovery.
