Jenin: The Israeli occupation forces continue the aggression on the city of Jenin and its camp for the eighth consecutive day, resulting in the deaths of 16 Palestinians, injuring dozens, detentions, and forced evictions of families. Additionally, 100 homes have been destroyed and burned inside the camp, amidst the ongoing systematic destruction of infrastructure and prevention of ambulance and civil defense crews from accessing the area.
According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the occupation forces notified the family of the slain youth Nidal Al-Amer about the demolition of their multi-story home in Jenin camp. The forces are working to divide the camp into four parts by destroying streets, blowing up homes, and burning them. The forces had withdrawn from the western outskirts of Jenin camp but redeployed shortly afterward, preventing residents from checking on their homes and detaining a group of them. A child was injured by the occupation’s bullets near the Cinema Roundabout during violent confrontations.
The forces detained a vehicle on Nazareth Street, interrogated its occupants, and were stationed across various strategic locations, including the industrial area, Al-Zaid Roundabout, Yahya Ashan Roundabout, and Nablus Street. The Jenin Health Directorate issued a circular to citizens, informing them that health services in the industrial area are operating as usual to accommodate visitors and patients amidst the ongoing raid.
The occupation forces have detained several citizens in Jenin camp and its neighboring areas. Military reinforcements, supported by bulldozers, continue to arrive in Jenin, with military vehicles stationed in front of Jenin Governmental Hospital and warplanes and drones flying over the city and camp.
The aggression, which began last Tuesday evening, marks an unprecedented escalation by the occupation army on the city and camp of Jenin.
