Petroleum and Mineral Resources Minister Tarek el Moulla and his Russian counterpart Nikolay Shulginov discussed means of fostering cooperation in the field of energy.
In a meeting on the sidelines of 7th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) in Algeria on Friday 01/03/2024, they also reviewed efforts aiming at securing energy sources within efforts to cut emission and natural gas’ carbon.
During the meeting, Moulla said that Egypt’s recent joining to the BRICS will contribute to boosting cooperation and trade relations between Egypt and Russia.
Moulla also held talks with Secretary General of OPEC Haitham Al Ghais in which they discussed means of fostering cooperation.
During the meeting, Ghais congratulated Moulla on the success of Egypt International Energy Conference and Exhibition (EGYPS 2024) that was recently held in Egypt.
