Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry received on Monday 9/1/2023 Director General of the Multinational Force in Sinai Elizabeth Dibble.
During the meeting, Shoukry asserted the important role the force is playing to maintain peace through implementation of peace treaty and all related protocols and memorandums of understanding.
Spokesman and Director of Public Diplomacy Department of Foreign Ministry Ahmed Abu Zeid said Shoukry congratulated Dibble on assuming her post in August.
The foreign minister said Egypt is looking forward to promoting cooperation with the force, the spokesman added.
Abu Zeid added the two sides commended the success of the force in keeping and consolidating peace in the region and building confidence between parties to the peace treaty.
Shoukry thanked countries that are contributing with elements in the force and states which participate in financing its work, topped by US.
