Israel has detained 7,585 Palestinians in the West Bank since October 7

RAMALLAH: The Detainees’ and Ex-Detainees’ Affairs Commission and the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS) said on Thursday that the Israeli occupation forces have arrested about 7,585 Palestinians from the West Bank since the beginning of the aggression on the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023.

The Commission and the PPS Club explained, in a press release, that this toll includes those who were arrested from homes, through military checkpoints, those who were forced to surrender under pressure, and those who were held hostage.

They added that the occupation forces continue to carry out the crime of enforced disappearance against Gaza detainees, 160 days after the aggression and genocide, as they still refuse to provide the relevant international and Palestinian human rights institutions with any information regarding their fate and places of detention, including the Gaza detainees who died while in Israeli custody.

Since yesterday, the occupation forces have detained at least 20 citizens from the West Bank, i
ncluding former prisoners.
