NABLUS: Israeli occupation forces arrested a citizen in the village of Urif, located south of Nablus, during a dawn raid on Friday. The arrest comes amid ongoing tensions in the region, with reported settler violence and repeated incursions by occupation forces into Palestinian towns. According to Maan News Agency, security sources detailed that several occupation vehicles entered the village of Urif at dawn, conducting a raid on a local residence. During this operation, Majdi Ismail Al-Aref was arrested following a search of his home. The reasons for the arrest have not been disclosed. In related developments, occupation forces also entered the town of Beit Furik, east of Nablus, marking the fourth such incursion at dawn. However, no arrests or house raids were reported during this operation. The repeated presence of Israeli forces in the area has heightened tensions among local residents. Sources further reported an incident involving settlers at the Salman al-Farsi roundabout, located at the entrance to the town of Hawara, south of Nablus. A group of settlers allegedly engaged in acts of violence, prompting a confrontation with local citizens. These incidents underscore the ongoing volatility in the region, as clashes and confrontations persist between settlers, occupation forces, and Palestinian residents.
