Israeli forces open fire at youth in Jerusalem

JERUSALEM: A young man was Tuesday shot by the Israeli occupation police in the Old City of occupied Jerusalem.

Local sources said that the occupation forces opened fire on a young man, whose identity remains unidentified, under the pretext of carrying out a stabbing attack at Bab al-Sahira in Old Jerusalem.

The occupation police claimed in a statement that its officers opened fire and killed the youth who carried out the stabbing attack, which resulted in wounding an Israeli policeman.

The occupation forces closed the main and secondary roads leading to Bab al-Sahira, and detained citizens, during confrontations that broke out in the Old City of Jerusalem.
