PM follows up on provision of commodities to markets ahead of Ramadan

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli held on Tuesday 20/12/2022 a meeting to follow up on the provision of commodities to markets before the approach of the holy month of Ramadan.

During the meeting, the premier said the State gives a top priority to the availability of goods in markets, with setting a fair price for each commodity by a joint committee from the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce (FEDCOC) and the Federation of Egyptian Industries (FEI).

Madbouli directed the competent bodies to implement the decision on displaying the prices of basic staples, as well as erecting outlets that display goods at prices lower than those offered in the domestic market.

The prime minister also issued instructions to set up “Ahlan Ramadan” fairs, which provide basic commodities at affordable prices for all citizens on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan which is less than 100 days away.
