Beirut: Minister of Public Works and Transport, Fayez Rasamny, on Wednesday held a meeting at his office with a delegation from the Union of Public Truck Owners at Beirut Port, in the presence of Director General of Land and Maritime Transport, Ahmad Tamer. The delegation briefed the minister on the current state of the sector and the logistical challenges they face within the port, which they described as a vital artery of the Lebanese economy and a major contributor to the national treasury.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Minister Rasamny also welcomed Argentinian Ambassador to Lebanon, Mara Virginia Ruiz Quintar, who paid him a protocol visit. The meeting included discussions on bilateral relations and ways to enhance cooperation in sectors under the purview of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport.
