The following is a statement issued by the mother of Rebecca Dykes, Jane Hong, on the result of the appeal of the murder case of Tareq Houshieh on 16 December 2022:
“Animals don’t have consciences but people do. All of us, I believe. I hope my daughter’s killer feels remorse for the damage he has caused my family, and his own.”
