The Minister of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities, Ahmed Fakkak Al-Badrani, announced the imminent start of the reconstruction of the historic Kirkuk Citadel, calling on the Ministry of Finance to expedite the allocation of the necessary funds for this.
Al-Badrani visited the historic Kirkuk Citadel, as part of his inspection tour of the archaeological, heritage and tourist sites in the governorate.
Al-Badrani stressed the importance of preserving the antiquities and heritage in our great Iraq, indicating that there will be a deep study by specialists in the reconstruction and rehabilitation of the damaged houses in order to attract tourists and develop the tourism side, in cooperation with international organizations to develop archaeological areas
