Jaber Reaffirms Commitment to IMF Reforms, Welcomes U.S.-Iran Agreement

Beirut: Finance Minister, Yassine Jaber, on Monday received IMF Resident Representative Frederico Lima and newly appointed IMF representative Yahya Said to review Lebanon's reform agenda and ongoing negotiations aimed at reaching a final agreement with the International Monetary Fund. Jaber reaffirmed Lebanon's commitment to completing the legal and legislative reforms required to support economic recovery and restore confidence. IMF officials praised the Finance Ministry's management of recent challenges and its role in maintaining financial and monetary stability.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the minister also welcomed the U.S.-Iran agreement, expressing hope that the ceasefire provisions concerning Lebanon would prove lasting and contribute to security, economic recovery, investment inflows and a successful summer tourism season. He further praised the resilience of residents of the South, the Bekaa and Beirut's southern suburbs, describing their return to their communities as a powerful sign of Lebanon's determination to recover and rebuild.
